Case Study: Executive Team Development, The Roundhouse Trust

Marcus Davey, CEO & Artistic Director of the Roundhouse, commissioned Gallanach to support the development of its Executive Team. Although Marcus has led the organisation for over 10 years the other directors were all relatively new in post.  The team needed to gel together quickly to lead the Roundhouse as it put in place a new vision for its future.

Norman Blissett, Director of Gallanach, met with Marcus and each of the directors to understand the challenges of their role and how they could work together as a high performing executive team.  The findings were summarised in a report and recommendations, presented back to Marcus.

This led to a facilitated workshop for the whole team.  The purpose of the workshop was to unite the team around the vision, agree how the team would work together to achieve that vision, set out the team role in leading the organisation, prioritise actions and identify areas for future development.

By spending time on analysing and diagnosing the current issues within the team and organisation, Norman identified the main areas to develop and use evidence based techniques to achieve this in the workshop.

The development project has so far achieved all its aims.  The team took away a number of actions which they have successfully implemented.
