How to be a cycle friendly employer

11 June 20

There’s never been a better time to get on a bike for both fitness and transport.

The quieter roads and streets have encouraged many more people to cycle.

The benefits are numerous, from health to money and for climate change.

As lockdown eases many commuters are thinking of switching from cars and public transport to bikes when they return to the workplace.

So what can employers do to make the commute by bike an easy option and what advice is there for commuters what want to make the switch.

We asked James Palser, Project Manager at national cycling charity Cycling UK for his advice.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT US

In developing a detailed workforce plan, Gallanach quickly got to grip with what had been a difficult task for our NHS Medway team.  They worked very effectively and professionally with all the relevant stakeholders.  They tested their thinking with my team and adapted the plan in line with local needs.  I now have an excellent workforce plan that enables us to progress our Medway model.
