Norman Blissett - Managing Director
Norman Blissett is a Board, Strategy and Leadership Consultant. He has cross sector experience of delivering:
- improved board and senior team performance;
- vision, mission, values and strategy;
- alignment of people and strategy;
- Leadership and management development programmes;
- organisational development and change programmes;
- improved performance of HR teams.
After completing a Chemistry degree at Edinburgh University, Norman’s career started in the pharmaceutical industry in sales and marketing.
He then studied Scots and European Law, graduating with a LLM, before moving to the British Medical Association in their advice and representation service to doctors.
This was followed by several senior HR roles in the NHS. Most recently he was Director of Systems and Impact at Family Action, one of the UK’s leading family charities, and Chair of Bridge Mental Health Ltd.
Norman founded Gallanach in September 2016 and leads delivery on all programmes. He is also Chair of Cyclopark Ltd, Europe's premier cycling facility and founder of Gallanach Masters Cycling, a global community of 50+yr old cyclists.
Norman is a Chartered Director, Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and Professional Member of the Centre for Evidence Based Management.
Emilie Naiker - Programme Manager
Emilie is responsible for programme management and operational support at Gallanach.
She comes from a fast-paced corporate background, and brings a diverse and comprehensive range of skills:
forecasting for planning/budgeting purposes,
supply chain management/optimisation,
product category/account management, process improvement,
business analysis/development and procurement.
Kate Weiler - Associate
Kate’s experience spans over 5 years of delivering building communities through coaching and facilitation skills.
She boasts Clore fellowship, and has worked with several high-profile clients such as Young Minds and the British Council. Kate has been running an international leadership programme for the British Council.
Kate’s work is driven by a deep commitment to working towards social and environmental justice – working with a real, tangible impact and always learning.
John Heywood - Associate
John Heywood (M.Sc, FRSA) brings a unique blend of knowledge and expertise to his practice. He is an AC Accredited Professional Executive Coach and former Chair and Executive Board Member of The International Foundation for Action Learning (IFAL).
He has been facilitating virtual meetings since 2008 and has worked internationally for over a decade as a senior facilitator and executive coach.
He works both face-to-face and virtually with a wide range of organisations and with groups and individuals from more than 35 different countries.
Mandy Hetherton - Associate
Accredited professional executive coach, action learning specialist, and facilitator.
Specialities: Leading change; dealing with conflict; building resilience and confidence; improving performance.
Mandy helps clients gain insight and take action by:
- coaching leaders and managers to make their life at work more enjoyable and rewarding
- running leadership development programmes for today's and tomorrow's leaders
- facilitating action learning groups which provide powerful peer-to-peer learning
- helping teams work better together
- designing and delivering tailor-made workshops and awaydays.
